High-level Pakistani delegation leaves for China

Islamabad: A high-level Pakistani delegation left for Beijing on Sunday to hold talks with Chinese authorities on projects being implemented in the country by China.

The delegation includes the Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tarek Fatmi, Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and Secretary of the Water and Power Ministry Nargis Sethi.

Shahbaz Sharif, younger brother of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, said before leaving that the visit would give further impetus to a bilaterally beneficial Pakistan-China partnership.

Pakistan’s Ambassador in China Masood Khalid has said that the Chinese leadership is interested in reviving the old Silk Route that linked Pakistan with China and will play a vital role in trade and economic activities in the region.
