First meeting of China-Pakistan Think Tank on Aug 31

ISLAMABAD: The first annual meeting of the China-Pakistan Think Tank will be held from August 31 until September 1 in Beijing, China.


The China’s Tsinghua University’s Centre for Pakistan Culture and Communication Studies, China-Pakistan Joint Think Tank, National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) and the Academy of China and World Agendas, Southwest University of Political Science and Law (SWUPL), Chongqing are jointly hosting the meeting.


The China-Pakistan Joint Think Tank is a trilateral knowledge partnership between the three universities for providing knowledge-based policy inputs for mutual national socio-economic development of China and Pakistan, and regional peace and prosperity.


NUST has been invited to the forum as the lead partner from Pakistan to participate in the open dialogue. The forum includes extensive deliberations between senior policy makers, diplomats, entrepreneurs, academics, and researchers for enhancing China-Pakistan cooperation and building peace in the region. The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor for energy, trade, transport, and industrial development, equity-based economic growth, regional geopolitics, foreign policy challenges, scientific and technological cooperation, higher education, cultural cooperation, and people-to-people contact are some of the key topics that will come under discussion during the meeting.
