Chinese CG calls on Alvi

KARACHI: The acting consul general of Peoples Republic of China Pan Qingjian here Monday called on caretaker Sindh chief minister Justice Zahid Kurban Alvi (Retd) at the CM House.


Both leaders discussed matters of mutual interest including coming general elections in Pakistan.


Alvi said holding free and fair elections is the first priority of his government.


He said he is consulting and meeting with politicians and people belonging to different sections of society.


He said the relations between Pakistan and China are close and deep and further augmenting with passage of time.


He stressed the need to open more and more Chinese language centres in Sindh province so that people could learn the Chinese language and people to people relations between both countries would also further develop.


He also appreciated the role of China regarding Gawadar port.


Pan Qingjian said the Chinese company would improve infrastructure of Gawadar port and develop it on modern lines.
