China, Punjab Board of Investment sign cooperation framework

Beijing, Jan 21: Punjab Board of Investment &Trade, Beijing Zhubang Commercial Center and Beijing International Economic and Trade Development Association have signed framework memorandum of strategic cooperation in Beijing on January 20th to boost economic cooperation.
The official sighing ceremony was held in the presence of Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Masood Khalid, officials from three respective organizations.
Several Chinese companies are working in the development projects in Punjab province while Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has also visited China several times to bring investment in the province. Recently, Shahbaz Sharif attended the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) 2014 in China's Hainan province to clinch economic contacts with Chinese companies.
Chinese companies are investing in energy, textile, transportation, mining and hydropower power projects launched by the provincial government.
