LAHORE  - Punjab Chief Minister,Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif left for Beijing on Thursday on a visit to China. He will also participate in Bao Conference to be held in China.

Before his departure, the Chief Minister said that Pakistan and China were bound together in strong ties of love, brotherhood and sincerity. He said that the promotion of relations with neighbouring countries including China has vital importance in the foreign policy of PML-N. He said that China was extending cooperation in energy and other projects in Pakistan and the visit would further strengthen bilateral relations.

He said that a new era of Pak-China friendship has started.  Shahbaz said that investment package of 32 billion dollars by Chinese leadership and government reflects the growing relationship between the two countries. Shahbaz Sharif said that relations between Pakistan and China are strengthening with the passage of time. He said that Pak-China relations have turned into useful economic ties under the leadership of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.  He said that progress would also be made on energy and infrastructure projects during the visit to China.
