Chinese team visits ICCI

Islamabad: A seven-member Chinese delegation led by Deputy Commissioner of Kashgar visited Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) and discussed different options with local business community to further strengthen trade and economic relations between the two countries.


Speaking on the occasion, Wang Yongzi, Deputy Commissioner of Kashgar, said they have come with a mission to directly interact with Pakistani businessmen and explore all new avenues of mutual cooperation to further expand the existing business relations between Pakistan and China. He said that Kashgar Special Economic Zone is going to emerge as the next economic hub in the region and Pakistani investors should explore it for business opportunities.


He said many Pakistani products including agro products, fruits, textiles etc. have great potential in China and Pakistani entrepreneurs should study Chinese market to enhance export of these products to China. He appreciated the commencement direct flights of Rayyan Air between Islamabad and Kashgar as it would help in promoting trade as well as people-to-people level relations between the two countries. He assured that Kashgar administration would extend all possible support for successful operation of Rayyan Air.Zafar Bakhtawari, President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry, welcomed the Chinese delegation and hoped that its visit would produce positive results.
